The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has restated its commitment for a seamless operation to all airport users ahead of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir, as Muslim faithfuls prepare for Salah.

In a statement issued, the authority noted that it had put in place necessary safety measures particularly with respect to the Covid-19 protocols laid down by relevant government agencies. This the authority said is to ensure safe, healthy and seamless facilitation passengers during the period of the celebration.

According to the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu other facilities are also functioning optimally, with the airport security architecture strengthened to provide for the expected increase in passenger traffic at the airports.

Mrs. Yakubu also advised intending passengers to make early preparations towards completing their travel requirements in good time. She added that protocol officers and orderlies of dignitaries will not be allowed into the airport except they are travelling alongside their principals. “Only travelling passengers will be allowed into the airports”, she emphasized.
