Following the apprehension of one of Arik’s Air staff by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the management of the airline (in Receivership) has suspended the said staff with immediate effect.
In a statement issued by the airline, the staff who was caught by the Authority for soliciting bribe at the domestic wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, remains suspended pending further investigations.
Arik Air further stated that it conducts its own internal investigation, the management reassures FAAN of its cooperation on the matter if further investigation is required. The airline also reiterated its support for FAAN in its quest to rid the airports of the menace of corruption.
