Emirates has launched a fourth daily service between Dubai and London Gatwick, marking a key milestone in its UK operations and making Gatwick the first London airport to be served by the airline’s all-new Airbus A350. The introduction also brings Emirates’ award-winning Premium Economy cabin to Gatwick for the first time.
The new service complements the existing three daily A380 flights on the Dubai–Gatwick route and increases Emirates’ total UK operations to a record 146 weekly flights, including 90 services to London. The expanded schedule offers passengers greater flexibility and more convenient travel options for both business and leisure journeys.
Flight EK069 departs Dubai at 17:05hrs and arrives in London Gatwick at 20:50hrs. The return service, EK070, departs Gatwick at 23:55hrs and lands in Dubai at 11:00hrs. The evening departure from Dubai adds a complementary option to the existing schedule, optimising connectivity and onward travel across Emirates’ global network.
The new daily flight is operated by an Airbus A350-900 in a three-class configuration, featuring 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 238 Economy Class seats.
Passengers can expect Emirates’ latest generation onboard products, including wireless charging in Business Class, electric window blinds adorned with the Emirates Ghaf tree motif in premium cabins, and digital inflight menus integrated into seatback screens.
The next-generation version of the airline’s award-winning ice inflight entertainment system delivers a cinematic experience with 4K and 4K HDR displays on ultra-responsive touchscreens. The A350 is also equipped with high-performance Wi-Fi powered by ViaSat’s Global Xpress satellite network, supported by enhanced onboard Wireless Access Points that enable significantly greater bandwidth capacity.
The launch of the A350 at Gatwick makes it the second UK destination to receive the aircraft type, following Edinburgh, which became the first in Emirates’ global network to be served by the A350 when daily operations commenced in January 2025.
London now joins a growing list of global cities served by Emirates’ newest aircraft, including Adelaide, Montreal, Oslo, Lyon, Bologna, Dammam, Mumbai, Bahrain, Colombo, Baghdad, Hangzhou, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuwait, Muscat, Tunis, Amman, Istanbul and Ahmedabad.
Looking ahead, Emirates plans to deploy the A350 to six additional destinations in 2026—Rome, Copenhagen, Taipei, Phuket, Cape Town and Helsinki, with Helsinki set to receive A350 service from launch in October 2026.
With the addition of a fourth daily Gatwick service and the introduction of its next-generation aircraft, Emirates continues to reinforce its long-standing commitment to the UK market while enhancing connectivity between London, Dubai and destinations worldwide.
