Turkish Airlines will increase its services between Istanbul and Lagos from seven to 10 flights weekly from December 11, 2026, expanding capacity ahead of the busy end-of-year travel period.
The additional three weekly flights are expected to give passengers more options for travel between Nigeria and Türkiye, while improving connections to destinations across the airline’s international network.
In a statement issued in Lagos, the airline said the increased frequency would cater to both business and leisure travellers, offering greater flexibility and more convenient connections through Istanbul to more than 350 destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
The expansion follows the increase in Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul-Abuja services to seven weekly flights in June 2026, further strengthening its operations in Nigeria and connectivity between the two countries.
With a fleet of more than 560 aircraft, Turkish Airlines uses Istanbul Airport as its main hub for connecting passengers to destinations worldwide. Business Class passengers transiting through the airport can also access the airline’s Business Lounge, which provides facilities for travellers connecting to onward flights.
The Lagos frequency increase forms part of the airline’s efforts to respond to passenger demand while expanding travel options between Nigeria and its global network.
