Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national flag carrier of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-900 (A330neo), marking a major milestone in the airline’s growth. This is the first of two widebody aircraft joining the carrier’s fleet, and the first widebody aircraft in its history.

Configured in a spacious and comfortable four-class layout, the new A330neo features a total of 242 seats: four in First Class, 44 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy, and 173 in Economy Class. The aircraft will play a vital role in supporting Air Côte d’Ivoire’s long-haul expansion plans, starting with direct flights to Paris, France, and later extending to destinations in the Middle East and North America.

As the leading airline in West and Central Africa, serving 22 destinations across the continent, the addition of the A330neo significantly enhances Air Côte d’Ivoire’s international capabilities and passenger experience.

The delivery flight from Airbus’ headquarters in Toulouse to the airline’s hub in Abidjan also served a humanitarian purpose. Onboard the A330neo were five tonnes of humanitarian goods, including school materials and other essential supplies. This mission, the airline’s third goodwill flight, was coordinated with the Airbus Foundation and supported by Aviation Sans Frontières. The donated items were distributed to two local NGOs, LifeShine and La Bienfaisance, to aid health and education initiatives in Abidjan.

Passengers onboard the A330neo will enjoy the award-winning Airbus Airspace cabin, designed to enhance the in-flight experience. Features include more personal space, larger overhead bins, a state-of-the-art lighting system, and the latest in-flight entertainment and connectivity technologies.

With the A330neo, Air Côte d’Ivoire takes a significant step forward in connecting Africa to the world while continuing to invest in comfort, innovation, and social impact.
