Qatar Airways is continuing the phased restoration of its global network with the reinstatement of daily flights to Bahrain and Kozhikode, effective May 1, 2026, as the carrier steadily rebuilds connectivity across key international markets.

The latest development follows the airline’s earlier announcement confirming the resumption of daily services to Dubai and Sharjah from April 23, 2026, as well as the return of operations to Damascus from May 1, 2026. Together, these route resumptions are aimed at providing passengers with greater flexibility and improved access across the Middle East and beyond, while reinforcing the airline’s presence across its extensive network spanning six continents.

As part of its ongoing recovery strategy, Qatar Airways has advised passengers to regularly check its official website or mobile app for updates and to ensure that their contact details are accurate and up to date to receive timely notifications regarding their travel plans.

The airline has also introduced flexible travel options for affected passengers. Customers holding tickets issued on or before April 30, 2026, for travel between February 28 and September 15, 2026, can make complimentary date changes to a new travel date up to October 31, 2026, subject to availability and seasonal fare conditions. Passengers may also opt for a refund of the unused ticket value, in line with standard fare rules, with processing timelines of up to 28 working days.

For passengers whose flights are directly impacted, additional flexibility is available, including fee-free changes until October 31, 2026, while maintaining the originally booked cabin class regardless of fare seasonality. These passengers are also eligible for a full refund of the unused ticket value without penalty, with refunds processed within the same timeframe.

The continued restoration of services underscores Qatar Airways’ efforts to stabilise operations, rebuild passenger confidence, and strengthen global connectivity as international travel demand gradually normalises.
