Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has reported its strongest financial performance to date, posting robust growth in revenue and profitability while unveiling plans to expand its operations into new African markets and the United Arab Emirates.

The company disclosed the results at its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM), where shareholders were presented with a record-breaking performance for the financial year ended December 31, 2025.

SAHCO recorded revenue of ₦44.46 billion, representing a 54 per cent increase from the ₦28.94 billion achieved in 2024. The growth was driven by increased passenger and cargo handling activities across its nationwide network, improved operational efficiency, strategic infrastructure investments and the deployment of modern ground support equipment.

The strong revenue performance translated into higher profitability, with Profit Before Tax rising by 85 per cent to ₦12.01 billion from ₦6.49 billion in the previous year. Profit After Tax stood at ₦9.74 billion, reflecting the company’s ability to sustain earnings growth despite operating in a challenging business environment.

Shareholder value also improved significantly, as Earnings Per Share climbed to ₦7.20 from ₦3.57 in 2024, while shareholders’ equity grew to ₦62.21 billion. Total assets increased to ₦82.69 billion, supported by investments in property, plant and equipment, as well as stronger liquidity and balance sheet performance.

Speaking at the AGM, Chairman of SAHCO, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, attributed the results to the resilience of the company’s business model, the dedication of its workforce and a sustained commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

He noted that the performance demonstrated SAHCO’s ability to navigate economic and industry challenges while maintaining growth and creating long-term value for shareholders.

Looking ahead, Afolabi revealed that the company has developed strategic plans to extend its footprint beyond Nigeria, with expansion initiatives targeting the United Arab Emirates and selected African markets. According to him, the move is designed to diversify revenue streams, strengthen SAHCO’s regional and international presence and position the company as a leading aviation ground handling and logistics provider across the continent.

The expansion strategy comes as demand for aviation support services continues to grow across Africa and the Middle East, creating new opportunities for companies with proven operational expertise and strong service delivery capabilities.

SAHCO remains the only aviation ground handling company with operations across all commercial airports in Nigeria, providing passenger handling, baggage and ramp services, cargo operations, aviation security, premium lounge management, crew administration and other aviation-related services.

With record earnings, a strengthened balance sheet and an ambitious international growth agenda, SAHCO enters the new financial year with increased momentum and a clear roadmap for expanding its influence within Africa’s aviation services sector.
