Air Peace is set to strengthen its footprint across Africa with the launch of scheduled services from Lagos to Douala, Cameroon; Libreville, Gabon; Bamako, Mali; and Conakry, Guinea, beginning August 1, 2026, in a move aimed at boosting regional connectivity and positioning Lagos as a major aviation gateway on the continent.

The new routes form part of the airline’s broader expansion strategy and are expected to facilitate trade, tourism, investment, cultural exchange and economic integration across West and Central Africa. Air Peace said the additional destinations align with its vision of connecting African markets through safe, reliable and affordable air transport services.

Under the new schedule, flights to Douala and Libreville will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Services will depart Lagos, stop in Douala before continuing to Libreville, and return via the same routing. Flights to Bamako and Conakry will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, linking the three cities through a similar multi-city service pattern.

The expansion will also strengthen Lagos’ role as the airline’s primary hub, providing passengers from the new destinations with seamless connections to Air Peace’s extensive domestic network, including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, Ibadan, Maiduguri, Yola, Gombe and other Nigerian cities.

Beyond regional travel, the airline said passengers from Douala, Libreville, Bamako and Conakry will gain easier access to its international services, including flights to London Gatwick and Caribbean destinations such as Antigua and Barbados, creating new opportunities for business, education, tourism and commerce.

According to Air Peace management, the route expansion reflects the carrier’s commitment to advancing regional integration while supporting the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), both of which seek to improve air connectivity and ease movement across the continent.

The airline noted that improved air links between West and Central African countries would help stimulate economic activity, strengthen business relationships and encourage greater collaboration among African nations.

Bookings for the new services are already open through the airline’s website, mobile application, contact centre and accredited travel agencies. Air Peace said the expansion reinforces its ambition to connect Africa more efficiently while enhancing Nigeria’s position as a leading aviation hub on the continent.
