The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, has called for patience and cooperation from road users around Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, as FAAN accelerates construction on a 2.4-kilometer service road between the Toll Gate Plaza and Gate 13.
During an inspection on October 12th, Mrs. Kuku expressed satisfaction with the project’s pace and quality, urging the public to support the timely completion. She also thanked the Lagos State Government for partnering with FAAN on the road project, emphasizing the importance of such collaborations to enhance passenger experiences.
“We need full cooperation from all road users to complete this road on time and to the desired standards,” Kuku said. “This project should have been done years ago, but I am glad we have started, and I am grateful to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for partnering with us to ensure its speedy completion.”
The road work, scheduled to be completed within nine months, will include complete reconstruction, drainage systems, sidewalks, and streetlights. Mrs. Kuku also expressed gratitude to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, for his leadership and oversight.
