TAAG Angola Airlines’ new aircraft, namely the A220 and B787 Dreamliner ordered at Airbus and Boeing will be delivered with the new livery.
The aircraft paint and visual identity will accommodate the Angola vibe, by reinforcing the visibility of the PALANCA (black antelope considered a national symbol) on the plane’s tail and winglets, as well as, keeping the color pattern inspired in the Angola´s traditional fabric named “Samakaka”.
TAAG passengers and customers will soon be able to experience the new Airbus A220-300 on local and regional flights. The aircraft with 137 passengers’ total capacity (12 in business class and 125 in economy class), is scheduled to be delivered to TAAG during third quarter, 2024, and will be the first TAAG aircraft within this branding concept.
The airline has major challenges, namely the transition of passenger flights to the New Luanda International Airport according to Dr. António Agostinho Neto who spoke on the upcoming competitive scenario concerning the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM). To address these issues, TAAG is implementing its strategic plan, taking actions to increase the fleet and new routes to capture more traffic and foster regional connectivity.
