TAAG Angola Airlines has appointed AVIAREPS as its new General Sales Agent (GSA) for Europe, effective September 1, 2026, as the airline moves to strengthen its commercial presence and increase passenger traffic across the European market.
The partnership forms part of TAAG’s broader commercial strategy to grow market share, develop new business opportunities and support the continued expansion of its international network.
Under the agreement, AVIAREPS will oversee TAAG’s commercial representation across Europe, supporting reservations, ticketing, sales monitoring and other market-related activities. It will also engage with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate accounts and other key industry partners to drive sales and strengthen the airline’s visibility in the region.
TAAG said the new representation structure would provide greater support to its European partners and customers while creating a more focused approach to sustainable sales growth and market engagement.
The appointment is expected to leverage AVIAREPS’ experience in airline representation and international travel markets. Founded in Germany in 1994, the company provides sales, marketing, communications, business development and GSA services to airlines and other organisations across the aviation, tourism and hospitality sectors.
Through its European network and established relationships with travel industry stakeholders, AVIAREPS will support TAAG’s efforts to expand its customer base and identify additional commercial opportunities across the continent.
The airline said the partnership would also strengthen engagement with its European partner ecosystem while promoting TAAG’s travel offerings and enhancing its brand presence in key markets.
For TAAG, Europe remains an important market for the development of its international network and for strengthening connectivity between Angola and major global destinations. The new GSA arrangement is therefore expected to complement the airline’s network development efforts with stronger local commercial representation.
The partnership takes effect as TAAG continues to pursue opportunities to expand its international footprint, increase passenger traffic and strengthen its position as Angola’s national carrier.
By appointing AVIAREPS, TAAG said it is reinforcing its commitment to developing its European business, expanding commercial opportunities and connecting Angola more effectively with key international markets.
