The Boeing Company has reaffirmed its dedication to bolstering Air Peace, Nigeria’s premier airline and West Africa’s largest carrier, highlighting its significant contributions to the region’s aviation industry.

During a visit to Air Peace’s Lagos headquarters, representatives from Boeing and Cranfield University conducted a five-day Advanced Leadership in Safety Excellence Training for the airline’s top leadership.

Harry Magui, Senior Organisational Consultant at Boeing Global Learning Institute, emphasized, “Air Peace has been pivotal in advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector. Safety remains the bedrock of our industry, and we are here to strengthen this culture further.”

The collaboration aims to address key areas like psychological safety, change management, and crisis response, reflecting a commitment to fostering operational resilience and a “Just Culture.”

Harrison Debrah from Boeing’s Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs lauded Air Peace’s rapid growth and praised Chairman Dr. Allen Onyema’s dedication to excellence.

Dr. Fabian Steinmann of Cranfield University noted the importance of sharing global best practices, expressing excitement about contributing to Air Peace’s robust and adaptable safety systems.

Dr. Onyema expressed gratitude for the partnership, affirming the airline’s commitment to a non-punitive reporting system and emphasizing that safety is central to Air Peace’s operations. The collaboration, he noted, underscores Air Peace’s reputation as a trailblazer in African aviation.
