First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has partnered with 247 Travels to introduce a travel financing solution that allows eligible customers to spread the cost of international airline tickets over several months, making overseas travel more accessible for business, education, healthcare, tourism and family commitments.
The initiative, branded Book Now, Fly Later, enables qualified FCMB customers to access loans of up to ₦10 million to purchase international flight tickets through 247 Travels, with repayment periods ranging from three to nine months.
The facility, offered through FCMB Premium Banking, is available exclusively for tickets booked via 247 Travels. Both salaried and self-employed customers who meet the bank’s lending requirements can apply, with successful applications expected to receive approval and disbursement within 24 working hours.
The partnership combines FCMB’s financing capabilities with 247 Travels’ booking platform to provide travellers with a flexible alternative to paying the full cost of international air tickets upfront.
FCMB Managing Director, Yemisi Edun, said the product reflects the bank’s commitment to developing financial solutions that support customers’ personal and business aspirations without placing unnecessary pressure on their finances.
“At FCMB, we believe banking should empower people to pursue their goals without unnecessary financial strain. Our Book Now, Fly Later solution makes travel more accessible and affordable while giving customers the flexibility to manage their finances responsibly,” she said.
Edun added that the initiative aligns with the bank’s broader strategy of driving inclusive growth through innovation and strategic partnerships, noting that FCMB will continue to develop customer-focused products that simplify financial decisions and create long-term value.
Managing Director of 247 Travels, Tunji Adeyemi, said the partnership addresses one of the biggest challenges facing travellers—the need to pay the full cost of airline tickets before departure.
“Travellers increasingly want flexibility and convenience. Our partnership with FCMB enables customers to secure flights immediately while spreading payments over time,” he said.
FCMB’s Group Head of Premium Banking, Opeyemi Makinwa, described the offering as part of the bank’s expanding portfolio of lifestyle-focused financial solutions designed to give customers greater financial control.
Customers can apply for the facility through FCMB’s Book Now, Fly Later platform or via the 247 Travels website by selecting their preferred international flight and completing a financing request. Once approved, the loan is disbursed and the ticket is issued through 247 Travels, providing travellers with immediate access to their bookings while allowing them to repay in convenient instalments.
