Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has announced the resumption of its direct flight service connecting Lagos to the Caribbean, with operations scheduled to restart on May 24, 2026.
The monthly service will operate from Murtala Muhammed International Airport to Barbados, with a stopover in Antigua, creating what the airline describes as the only direct air link between West and Central Africa and the Caribbean. The route is designed to offer seamless connectivity for business, leisure and diaspora travellers across both regions.
Under the schedule, flights will depart Lagos in the early morning, arriving in Antigua before continuing onward to Barbados later in the day. The return journey will follow the same routing, with passengers travelling from Barbados to Antigua before connecting back to Lagos, arriving the following day.
The airline said the resumption of the route reflects its broader strategy to strengthen intercontinental connectivity while deepening economic, cultural and tourism ties between Nigeria and Caribbean nations. It also provides travellers from across the region the opportunity to connect through Lagos to the Caribbean without relying on multiple stopovers through Europe or North America.
Tickets for the Lagos–Antigua–Barbados service are now available across the airline’s booking channels and through travel agents, with passengers encouraged to secure early reservations ahead of the relaunch.
