Transcorp Hotels Plc, Nigeria’s leading hospitality company and a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, has posted a historic performance for the 2025 financial year, with revenue rising to ₦97.04 billion and gross profit increasing by about 50 per cent.
The company’s audited results for the year ended December 31, 2025 show that revenue grew by 38 per cent from ₦70.13 billion in 2024, driven by strong demand across room bookings, conferencing, food and beverage services, and other hospitality offerings.
Profitability also strengthened significantly during the period, supported by higher volumes, effective cost management and operational efficiencies. Gross profit margin expanded to 77 per cent from 71 per cent in the previous year, while operating profit rose by 35 per cent to ₦35.24 billion, compared with ₦26.03 billion in 2024.
Profit before tax increased by 45 per cent to ₦32.82 billion, while profit after tax climbed by 47 per cent to ₦21.85 billion from ₦14.90 billion a year earlier. Earnings per share improved to ₦2.14, up from ₦1.46 in FY 2024.
Transcorp Hotels’ balance sheet also strengthened during the year. Total assets grew by 14 per cent to ₦159.91 billion from ₦140.70 billion in 2024, reflecting continued investments in physical infrastructure to support future growth. Total equity rose by 18 per cent to ₦95.23 billion, driven by strong operating performance and the company’s policy of reinvesting earnings while maintaining regular dividend payments to shareholders.
Commenting on the results, Chairman of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Dr Awele V. Elumelu, OFR, said the company’s performance demonstrates the strength of its foundation and long-term strategy.

We have continued to strengthen the foundation of our company, with our growing asset base and equity positioning us for the future. We remain focused on driving operational excellence and exploring new avenues for sustainable long-term value creation,” she said.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Uzoamaka Oshogwe, described the 2025 results as a major milestone for the company, noting that retained earnings rose sharply from ₦63.23 billion in 2024 to ₦77.53 billion.
“Our success is the result of disciplined operational efficiency, strong cost management and, most importantly, the dedication of our exceptional team to service excellence,” Oshogwe said.
She added that the company continues to invest in transformative infrastructure, including the 5,000-seat Transcorp Centre, which is designed to position Nigeria as a premier destination for major international and regional events such as the Afreximbank Annual Meetings and ECOWAS summits.
Looking ahead, Transcorp Hotels said it will continue to leverage innovation and technology to strengthen its brand and redefine hospitality standards across Nigeria and the wider African continent.
