United Nigerian Airlines has taken a bold step to expand its global reach by partnering with Hahnair, a leading ticketing and distribution specialist. The Nigerian carrier is now part of Hahnair’s extensive network of more than 350 partner airlines worldwide, enabling it to offer greater connectivity and visibility to international travel markets.

With this development, United Nigerian Airlines’ flights will now be available for ticketing through over 100,000 travel agencies across 190 markets via Hahnair’s robust technology infrastructure. This means the airline can tap into new secondary markets and indirect sales channels, significantly boosting its international distribution strategy.

Announcing the new additions, Adriana C. Carrelli, Vice President Airline Business at Hahnair, explained, “We are proud to offer airlines of any size and business model tailor-made solutions for all their distribution needs. By forming an interline agreement with Hahnair, airlines can unlock secondary markets for indirect ticket sales. Airlines without GDS connections can outsource their entire indirect distribution and make their flights available under the codes H1 or X1 in all major GDSs.”

Kimberley Long, Vice President Agency Distribution at Hahnair, added that the expansion reflects the company’s mission to continually enrich ticketing options for travel agencies and passengers worldwide. “With new partners such as United Nigerian Airlines, we are proud to enrich our offer with even more ticketing options. This has been an extremely successful year for Hahnair so far, and we are confident that we will continue to grow our portfolio with an attractive line-up of partners throughout the rest of the year,” she said.

For United Nigerian Airlines, the partnership represents a strategic leap into the global market. By leveraging Hahnair’s distribution expertise, the airline will not only strengthen its footprint in Africa but also connect with a wider range of travelers around the world, ensuring Nigerian destinations remain accessible and competitive on the international stage.
