TAAG Angola Airlines will begin direct flights between Luanda and Nairobi on September 1, 2025, marking a major milestone in its regional expansion strategy. The service will operate three times a week, offering greater connectivity between Southern and Eastern Africa and reinforcing Nairobi’s role as a vital transit hub for Africa, Asia, and Europe.

In a statement, TAAG highlighted that this new route is not only a strategic addition to its growing international network but also a driver for enhanced mobility, economic collaboration, and diplomatic relations between Angola and Kenya. Nairobi, recognized as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies, serves as a gateway for both business and leisure travel, making the connection a timely and valuable offering.

With the launch of the Luanda–Nairobi route, TAAG will serve over 15 international destinations, including Lisbon, Paris, Dubai, São Paulo, Johannesburg, Lagos, and Maputo. The airline reiterated its commitment to promoting intra-African air travel and fostering regional integration through accessible and reliable services.
