Qatar Airways, recently crowned World’s Best Airline 2025 by Skytrax for a record ninth time, has announced the launch of a next-generation in-flight entertainment (IFE) system set to transform the onboard experience for passengers.

Unveiled at the 55th International Paris Air Show, the new system—powered by Panasonic Avionics’ cutting-edge Converix platform—will debut on the airline’s Boeing 777-9 fleet. It represents a major leap in digital innovation and personalisation, aligning with Qatar Airways’ vision of a fully connected, smart journey for its customers.

With artificial intelligence at its core, the platform offers hyper-personalised content, intuitive seat-level smart controls, and seamless integration across the aircraft. Passengers will enjoy a tailored entertainment experience with system-wide connectivity that enables full control of various onboard features through a single interface.

“This platform is more than just a technological upgrade – it is a game changer that will completely redefine entertainment in the sky,” said Xia Cai, Senior Vice President of Product Development at Qatar Airways. “As the newly crowned World’s Best Business Class, we remain focused on continuously redefining the passenger experience. With every new milestone, we continue to shape the future of travel and move forward at 35,000 feet and beyond.”

The modular, digital-first system also supports fleet-wide standardisation of content and AI-driven engagement, paving the way for future scalability and product evolution.

With this development, Qatar Airways reinforces its commitment to setting new industry benchmarks and delivering excellence at every touchpoint of the travel experience.
