Ibom Air has strengthened its fleet with two Bombardier CRJ 900 next-generation aircraft, registered as 5N-CED and 5N-CEE. The formal reception took place on Friday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with Governor Umo Eno receiving the aircraft.
Governor Eno remarked, “The addition of these two CRJ 900 aircraft reaffirms our administration’s commitment to supporting Ibom Air, aligning with our ARISE Agenda’s focus on strategic investments to drive economic growth and elevate our state.”
Ibom Air’s CEO, Mr. Mfon Udom, expressed enthusiasm over the new additions, stating, “With this acquisition, Ibom Air now operates nine aircraft, including two Airbus A220-300s and seven CRJ 900s. However, we aim to keep expanding, with nine more Airbus A220-300s expected within three years.”
The CRJ 900s, funded through a shareholder loan, add substantial capacity to Ibom Air, enhancing connectivity and service reliability for travelers.
