Following a directive to suspend all Arik Air operations, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has promised assistance to all passengers affected. The Authority stated that affected passengers will be assisted with alternative flights.
This assurance was contained in a statement signed by Obiageli Orah, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.
On Tuesday, following a directive from Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Arik Air’s operations were suspended.
FAAN stated that it has instructed all airport managers to assist all affected passengers of Arik Air with available flights.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the public that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is aware that Arik Airline has been grounded due to litigation issues between the airline and their creditors.”
“The Authority has instructed all airport managers across the country to assist the affected passengers as Arik Airline works out plans to rebook and transfer passengers to other available flights.
