…As Arik Air begins flight to Osubi Airport, Warri
Aero Contractors is set to begin flight operations on the busy Benin route.
Investigations showed that the airline is finalising consultations on the plan, which would see Aero commence business at the Benin Airport from the middle of September.
Aero Contractors’ plan to commence business in Benin Airport will increase the number of airlines on the route and increase flight options for travellers.
Multiple checks with aviation industry sources further showed that the Benin route has become a juicy route for airlines as more investors take positions in the emerging business-friendly Edo economy, following huge reforms across several sectors of the state under the supervision of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Similarly, Arik Air has begun flight operations to Osubi Airport, Warri. The operations which began last Friday will see the airline operating flights to Warri from both Lagos and Abuja every day of the week.
Arik Air had earlier suspended operations to Osubi Airport earlier in the year because of its Bombardier Q400 aircraft that went for maintenance abroad.
While making comments, Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu said: “We are pleased to announce the return of flight services to Warri. We missed our highly esteemed customers during the period of our absence. We assure our customers of high standards of service and travel experience which are the hallmark of the airline.”
