Nigeria has entered into a strategic partnership with DALIL UAE to modernise cargo operations and strengthen aviation security across its airports.
The agreement, signed in Abu Dhabi by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, follows a high-level mission that exposed Nigeria’s aviation delegation to world-class cargo management and security technology at Abu Dhabi International Airport and the UAE Command and Control Centre.
A central feature of the partnership is the deployment of Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) systems, which use real-time data to improve cargo processing, enable risk profiling, strengthen security through early detection of high-risk shipments, and boost revenue collection.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) provides for feasibility studies beginning in October 2025, with a phased nationwide rollout set for the third quarter of 2026.
Keyamo described the initiative as transformational, noting that ACI adoption will not only streamline clearance processes but also position Nigeria as a regional logistics hub while ensuring compliance with ICAO and WCO global standards.
“With this MoU, Nigeria is set to leverage cutting-edge innovation to drive security, trade facilitation, and revenue growth,” he said.
The partnership underscores Nigeria’s ambition to lead West Africa in aviation digital transformation, backed by DALIL UAE’s proven expertise in aviation security and cargo intelligence solutions.
