Airports Council International (ACI) World has announced the winners of the 2024 ASQ Airport Experience Awards, recognizing outstanding customer service at airports worldwide. The prestigious awards, delivered in partnership with travel technology company Amadeus, celebrate excellence in airport customer experience based entirely on passenger feedback.

Among the top-performing airports recognized this year are Casablanca Mohammed V Airport and Marrakech Menara Airport in Africa; Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Incheon International Airport, and Delhi-Indira Gandhi International Airport in Asia-Pacific; iGA Istanbul Airport and Rome Fiumicino Airport in Europe; Guadalajara International Airport and Quito International Airport in Latin America-Caribbean; Nejran Airport, Salalah Airport, and Muscat International Airport in the Middle East; and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, and Toronto Pearson International Airport in North America.

The ASQ Airport Experience Awards are considered the gold standard for airport customer service. They are based on the Aviation Service Quality (ASQ) Programme, the industry’s most comprehensive and trusted measurement of airport experience. The ASQ Programme gathers real-time feedback from passengers through live surveys conducted at airports worldwide. This unique methodology ensures fair comparisons between airports and represents diverse traveler experiences.

In 2023, the ASQ Programme reached a new milestone, with nearly 700,000 surveys completed. More than half of the world’s air passengers passed through an ASQ-rated airport, reinforcing the programme’s global impact on shaping service standards. A record 181 ASQ Awards were presented to 95 airports across various categories, including Best Airports by Size and Region, Most Dedicated Staff, Easiest Airport Journey, Most Enjoyable Airport, Cleanest Airport, and Top Airports for Arrivals.

Several airports won multiple awards across different categories, demonstrating their commitment to customer service excellence. Notable multi-award winners include Dakar Blaise Diagne International Airport in Africa; Beijing Daxing International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport in Asia-Pacific; Milas-Bodrum Airport and Rome Fiumicino Airport in Europe; Chihuahua International Airport and Monterrey International Airport in Latin America-Caribbean; Salalah Airport in the Middle East; and Gerald R Ford International Airport and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in North America.

ACI World also inducted several airports into the Director General’s Roll of Excellence, an elite recognition for airports that have consistently delivered top-tier service over the past decade. This year’s inductees include Alicante–Elche Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Copenhagen Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport.

ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci emphasized the importance of continually enhancing airport service in today’s rapidly evolving air travel industry. “In today’s fast-evolving world, where passenger expectations are higher than ever, airports must continually push the boundaries of service to stay ahead. The 2024 ASQ Awards honor airports that create memorable, seamless experiences, transforming the entire passenger journey and helping to shape the future of air travel,” Erbacci said.

The 2024 ASQ Awards Ceremony will take place at the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Guangzhou, China, from September 8-11, 2025.

Launched in 2006, the ASQ Programme is the world’s leading airport passenger satisfaction programme, with participation from over 400 airports in 110 countries. ACI World delivers the ASQ Awards in collaboration with Amadeus, a global leader in travel and tourism technology solutions. By continuously enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency, the ASQ Programme plays a pivotal role in setting global service benchmarks, ensuring that airports remain passenger-focused and service-driven in an ever-changing industry.
