West Africa’s largest airline, Air Peace, and its Chairman/CEO, Dr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, achieved major recognition at the 21st Marketing Edge Awards 2024. Air Peace was honored as the ‘Outstanding Brand of the Year’, while Dr. Onyema received the ‘Brand Personality of the Year’ award for his visionary leadership, nationalistic efforts, and corporate philanthropy.
The award ceremony, held at Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, celebrated Air Peace for its innovative contributions to the aviation industry and its relentless drive for excellence across Africa. Dr. Onyema was recognized for his transformative leadership and efforts to promote unity through peace initiatives and philanthropy, such as free airlifts of stranded Nigerians during crises like the xenophobic attacks in South Africa and bringing COVID-19 vaccines into the country.
Accepting the award, Dr. Onyema said, “This recognition reflects our collective dedication to redefining air travel in West Africa.”
