SeerBit, a prominent African payment solutions provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with Sabre, a global technology leader in the travel industry, to address payment challenges that impact the growth of Africa’s travel sector. The collaboration aims to streamline complex payment processes for African travel businesses and enhance customer experiences.

Global travel contributes nearly $10 trillion to the global economy, but the sector faces ongoing issues with fragmented payment systems, security concerns, and cross-border transaction difficulties. These challenges have slowed growth within the industry, which supports 449 million jobs worldwide and is projected to add $16 trillion to the global economy by 2034.

Omoniyi Kolade, SeerBit’s founder and CEO, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “Our advanced payment solutions are designed to simplify complex processes. By integrating SeerBit’s technology into Sabre’s platform, we are equipping African travel businesses with the tools they need to enhance service efficiency and drive the transformation of the travel ecosystem.” Kolade added that the partnership would enable seamless, secure transactions for various services, ensuring both local and international regulatory compliance.

Dare Olayiwola, Senior Regional Director at Sabre Travel Solutions, Central West Africa, emphasized the significance of Africa as a growth market. “This alliance with SeerBit empowers African travel businesses with cutting-edge payment solutions, facilitating growth and supporting an evolving travel ecosystem on the continent,” Olayiwola said.

With SeerBit’s technology now integrated into Sabre’s platform, African travel agencies, airlines, and global service providers can process payments faster and more securely, delivering frictionless transactions across multiple platforms. This partnership marks a major step in overcoming existing barriers and advancing the travel sector in Africa, paving the way for an improved, streamlined payment ecosystem.
