West Africa’s largest ground handling service provider, the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance), has reinforced its market leadership with the signing and renewal of multiple ground handling contracts with leading international, regional and domestic airlines

The company confirmed the renewal of long-standing handling agreements with European carriers Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic, as well as African operator RwandAir. In addition, NAHCO secured new handling contracts with United Nigeria (Regional), Bellagio Air and Malaikair, further expanding its growing client base across domestic and regional routes.

Under the renewed agreements, Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic will continue to receive ground handling services from NAHCO for another three years, extending the partnerships to 2028. The renewed contract with RwandAir will take effect from October 1, 2025, and will also run for three years. The newly signed agreement with United Nigeria (Regional) covers a five-year period beginning August 1, 2025, while Bellagio Air and Malaikair entered into medium- to long-term contracts spanning three and five years respectively, in line with their operational expansion plans.

Bellagio Air, headquartered in Ikeja, Lagos, is positioning itself as a premium domestic and regional carrier focused on luxury, efficiency and reliability, while Malaikair operates as a regional airline with a customer-focused mission to enhance connectivity between Africa and the Caribbean through accessible and affordable air travel.

Reacting to the development, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Prince Saheed Lasisi, described the contracts as a strong vote of confidence in the company’s capacity, professionalism and track record. He noted that NAHCO’s more than 46 years of consistent and high-quality service delivery have distinguished it as a preferred ground handling partner in the aviation industry, adding that the company remains committed to exceeding customer expectations across all service areas.

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, also attributed the growing confidence from airline partners to NAHCO’s continuous investment in modern ground handling equipment. He assured customers that the deployment of new equipment would further enhance operational efficiency and service quality, reinforcing NAHCO’s position as the leading ground handling service provider in West Africa, with a presence across all major Nigerian airports.
