Ibom Air has announced the expansion of its flight schedules on the Enugu and Calabar routes, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and offering greater convenience for passengers.
Effective July 25, 2025, the airline will begin operating daily flights from Lagos and Abuja to Calabar, while flights to Enugu will run six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday, respecting the Monday sit-at-home directive still observed in Enugu.
This expansion transforms previously limited operations into a more comprehensive service, allowing travelers increased flexibility and more reliable travel planning between Southern and Eastern Nigeria.
“At Ibom Air, we understand the value of consistency and convenience in travel,” said George Uriesi, Acting Managing Director and CEO of Ibom Air. “Expanding our flight frequency on these routes is a direct response to our customers’ needs for more choices without compromising our hallmark schedule reliability, on-time departures, and excellent service.”
The upgraded schedule is expected to improve access to key regional hubs. Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, and Enugu, a major economic and cultural center in the Southeast, both serve as important destinations for business and leisure travelers.
Ibom Air emphasized that the expanded schedule will be supported by sufficient fleet capacity and operational resources to maintain its standards of punctuality and safety. The airline also reiterated its customer-centric strategy, noting that the decision was driven by growing demand and passenger feedback.
“This move is not just about adding flights—it’s about building trust with our customers by meeting their evolving needs while maintaining our service promise,” Uriesi added.
With this development, Ibom Air continues to deepen its footprint across Nigeria, strengthening its reputation as a reliable and responsive carrier in the domestic aviation sector.
