Embraer has reported a 33% year-on-year increase in jet deliveries for Q3 2024, totaling 57 units across its commercial, executive, and defense segments. This growth in deliveries, a 24% rise over the previous quarter, coincides with a record-breaking backlog of $22.7 billion, marking a nine-year high and reflecting a more than 25% increase over the previous year.

The Executive Jets division delivered 41 units, with deliveries rising over 45% year-on-year. Mid and super-mid-sized models Praetor 500 and 600 led the charge with 19 jets delivered, while the Phenom 300 remained the best-selling aircraft in its category, delivering 18 units. The division’s backlog reached $4.4 billion, up 3% annually, with slight sequential decreases attributed to high delivery volumes and seasonally slower sales in Q3.

Commercial deliveries totaled 16 jets, including 12 E2 models and four E1 models, marking a 5% year-on-year increase. Highlights included the first E2 delivery under a contract with LOT Polish Airlines and Virgin Australia’s firm order for eight E190-E2 jets. The commercial aviation backlog rose to $11.1 billion, nearly 30% higher than the previous year.

The Defense & Security segment saw a strong backlog increase to $3.6 billion, up $1.5 billion year-on-year. Key deliveries included Hungary’s first C-390 Millennium and Brazil’s seventh unit, with new contracts for nine C-390s signed with the Netherlands and Austria. Sales of the A-29 Super Tucano also gained traction, with contracts signed for deliveries to Paraguay and Uruguay.

Services & Support’s backlog reached $3.5 billion, a 25% year-on-year increase, driven by expansion in Asia-Pacific through new partnerships and an investment in a Texas facility.

Embraer’s recent performance underscores the company’s strategic growth across its business units and reinforces its market-leading position in aviation.
