Air Sierra Leone has launched a new service linking London and Lagos through its Freetown hub, offering an introductory $950 return fare. The route strengthens direct connectivity between the United Kingdom and Nigeria while positioning Freetown as a rising West African transit gateway.

The airline confirmed that the flights are designed with minimal connection times, ensuring smooth transfers comparable to those offered by major global carriers. With the new schedule, passengers traveling from London can connect seamlessly to Lagos via Freetown, while Lagos-based travelers gain flexible access to London through the same hub.

A spokesperson for Air Sierra Leone said the development reflects the carrier’s broader strategy to expand regional access and provide competitive alternatives to established European and Middle Eastern operators.

“This connectivity offers affordable convenience, allowing travelers to experience smooth transfers through Freetown, much like they would when transiting through global hubs,” the statement read.

Industry analysts have welcomed the move, describing it as a timely boost to West Africa’s aviation sector. They note that Air Sierra Leone’s entry into the London–Lagos market could stimulate passenger traffic, strengthen commercial ties, and enhance Sierra Leone’s profile as an emerging hub.

The $950 return fare is available for a limited time, with bookings open on the airline’s official website, www.flysierraLeone.com
