Air Peace Limited, West and Central Africa’s largest airline, has taken delivery of its third Embraer 190 aircraft, further strengthening its capacity to meet rising passenger demand during the festive season and beyond.
The Embraer 190-100 AR (Advanced Range) jet, registered as 5N-CFM, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at exactly 3:13 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Its arrival marks another milestone in the airline’s fast-paced fleet modernisation programme and represents the third Embraer 190 received by Air Peace within just five months.
Configured with 99 seats, comprising 11 Business Class and 88 Economy Class seats, the aircraft is designed to deliver a balance of comfort, efficiency and reliability. The cabin features a 1-2 Business Class layout for added privacy and a 2-2 Economy Class configuration that eliminates middle seats, offering spacious legroom, a quieter cabin environment and in-seat power outlets for passenger convenience.
Built with sustainability and performance in mind, the Embraer 190 AR is equipped with fuel-efficient engines that reduce carbon emissions, positioning it among the more environmentally responsible aircraft in its category. The aircraft is well suited for both high-density and underserved routes, supporting Air Peace’s strategy of deploying right-sized aircraft without compromising service quality.
Speaking on the development, Air Peace spokesperson, Mr. Osifo-Whiskey Efe, described the delivery as timely and strategic. He said the aircraft aligns with the airline’s operational goals of easing air travel across Nigeria, Africa and beyond while providing seamless connectivity and bespoke services for modern travellers.
Efe explained that the new aircraft will support additional flight frequencies on key domestic and regional routes during the festive period, helping to improve schedule reliability, enhance connectivity and reduce pressure on high-traffic corridors. He added that passengers will benefit from increased seat availability, greater flexibility and an improved travel experience at a time when travel demand peaks due to family reunions, business trips and tourism activities.
With a steadily expanding and diverse fleet, Air Peace continues to position itself as Nigeria’s most aggressively growing airline, setting benchmarks in fleet investment, capacity expansion and route development. The addition of the third Embraer 190 underscores the airline’s vision to connect communities, strengthen regional integration and redefine air travel across the continent, as it prepares to deliver smooth and reliable operations throughout the festive season and beyond.
