Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s largest airline, has expanded its fleet with the arrival of its first Embraer 190 aircraft, marking a key milestone in its strategic growth plan. The 118-seater jet, registered as 5N-CEF, landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 19:38 on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

According to the airline’s spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, the newly acquired Embraer 190 is the first of its kind in Air Peace’s growing portfolio. Another unit is expected to arrive in July, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to expanding both its domestic and regional footprint.

“This aircraft type introduces a new level of efficiency and comfort to our operations,” Efe noted. “It features eco-friendly technology, a quiet, spacious 2-2 seating layout, and is perfectly suited to underserved routes that require optimal capacity.”

With a current fleet of over 30 aircraft, Air Peace continues to lead the West African aviation market. In May 2025, the airline reported an impressive 85% average on-time performance across its domestic routes, underscoring its reputation for operational reliability and consistent service delivery.

Looking ahead to Q3 2025, Air Peace is set to launch new domestic routes, expand regional connectivity, explore new international destinations, and accelerate strategic fleet acquisition to meet rising passenger demand.

The airline says its long-term vision remains focused on easing air travel across Nigeria and beyond by investing in modern, passenger-centric aircraft that enhance network flexibility and performance.
