Emirates has introduced a new range of complimentary amenity kits for Premium Economy and Economy Class customers on long-haul flights worldwide, rolling out onboard from December. Designed as collectible keepsakes, the new kits are made with bio-based materials, including cactus-derived components, and were created in partnership with United for Wildlife to spotlight some of the world’s most endangered species. For the first time, Emirates’ Premium Economy amenity kits will also include plant-based skincare and wellness products from Aveda, underscoring the airline’s focus on both sustainability and customer wellbeing.

The new reusable pouches celebrate global wildlife across four natural environments, sea, sky, forest and desert, each featuring hand-drawn illustrations and an accompanying story card that shares insights into the endangered species depicted. Animals highlighted across the collection include African grey parrots, Arabian gazelles and oryx, Bengal tigers, Asian black bears, blue sharks, Bornean orangutans, chimpanzees, pangolins, manta rays, green sea turtles, peregrine falcons, western gorillas and many others, drawing attention to the threats they face from illegal trade, habitat loss and exploitation.

Premium Economy customers travelling on longer overnight flights will receive a newly designed amenity kit exclusive to the cabin, complete with a wrist strap and generous interior. Inside are travel essentials such as soft socks, eyeshades, earplugs and a Colgate dental kit, alongside Aveda lip balm, hand relief moisturising cream and hydrating face lotion. Sustainability is woven into the design, with socks and eyeshades made from 100 per cent recycled post-consumer polyester, and paper packaging sourced from responsibly managed forests. Each kit features artwork and a story card highlighting an endangered species, reinforcing the conservation message throughout the journey.

Economy Class customers on longer overnight flights will also receive colourful keepsake amenity kits filled with comfort items including socks, eyeshades, earplugs and a dental kit. Like the Premium Economy version, these kits use recycled and responsibly sourced materials and feature illustrated designs and story cards that spotlight endangered wildlife from around the world.

Passengers can further explore the conservation efforts behind the initiative through Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice, which features the United for Wildlife series “Guardians.” The programme highlights wildlife rangers and conservation heroes who risk their lives to protect endangered species and combat illegal wildlife trafficking.

The amenity kit collection reflects Emirates’ broader Environmental Sustainability Framework and its long-standing partnership with United for Wildlife, founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation. Emirates is an active member of the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce and maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards the illegal trade of wildlife and wildlife products. Its cargo division, Emirates SkyCargo, enforces a complete ban on hunting trophies of elephants, rhinoceroses, lions and tigers, while the airline has also achieved IATA Environmental Assessment and Illegal Wildlife Trade module certifications.

Through these thoughtfully designed amenity kits, Emirates is combining onboard comfort with education and advocacy, using its global reach to raise awareness of endangered species and reinforce its commitment to protecting wildlife for future generations.
